Question by black_2fade: The damaging effects of nude pics for single mother’s.?
I know of a family memeber who is a single mother who has allowed her boyfriend to take nude pics of her and have tried to explain to her that these pics can come back to hurt her especially if he decides to use them against her later on. Yes, he is paying child support and living under the same roof with her and the child. To me, I don’t understand the need for him to have naked pics of her seeing that they sleep together every night. Again, I think he is a pervert and will use those photo’s against her to take the child that she has been rasing by herself for the past 4 years. The chikld is 5 and the father has not been around all this time until November of 2007. I need help explaining to this family member the pro’s and con’s of these pics and need some help doing so. Anyone who can show me law cases or give me any advice I would appreciate it. Thank you
This family member came to me to ask my opinion about the situation because she feels guilty and is unsure herself as to whether he will use those pics to take her child seeing that he is paying child support and is trying persuade her to take him off. She has asked for the pics back but he refuses to give them back so (again) she is unsure herself as to his motives for wanting to have pics of her seeing that they sleep together every night.

I can’t give case studies, but there’s no way that a court will decide a mother is unfit and take away her children on the evidence of a few nude photos! As long as she is a good mother the fact that she has a sex life “and it can be proven” is no barrier to her ability as a mother in the eyes of the law.

What is more worrying is the fact that she continues to live and sleep with a man she doesn’t trust. She needs to respect herself more, and if she really thinks he will try to take away her kids, she’s irresponsible to be with him.
